The Baltimore Orioles added some veteran help Wednesday by signing infielder Kolten Wong and right-hander Julio Teheran to minor league contracts.

Wong, 33, was a two-time Gold Glove second baseman with the St. Louis Cardinals, and Teheran, also 33, made two All-Star teams with the Atlanta Braves.

Both players were invited to join the Orioles for major league spring training in Sarasota, Florida.

Wong split the 2023 season between the Seattle Mariners and Los Angeles Dodgers and batted .183 with four home runs and 27 RBIs in 87 games.

He is a career .256 hitter with 86 home runs and 405 RBIs in 1,189 games with the Cardinals (2013-20), Milwaukee Brewers (2021-22), Mariners and Dodgers.

Teheran went 3-5 with a 4.40 ERA in 14 games (11 starts) for the Brewers in 2023.

He owns an 81-82 career record with a 3.83 ERA in 254 games (247 starts) for the Braves (2011-19), Los Angeles Angels (2020), Detroit Tigers (2021) and Brewers. He spent 2022 playing in Mexico and in the independent Atlantic League.
