Earth Day help

Cupertino is looking for tabling partners, volunteers, performers and sponsors for the city’s 16th annual Earth and Arbor Day festival, set for Saturday, April 20, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Cupertino Library Field, 10800 Torre Ave. Register at cupertino.org/earthday.

Free concerts

The Saratoga Symphony is set to perform a free concert March 10 in Cupertino. “The Scent of Fresh Snow” features a piano concerto with soloist Jason Chiu. The concert is at 3 p.m. at West Valley Presbyterian Church, 6191 Bollinger Road. Donations are appreciated; tickets are not required. Masks are recommended. The Cupertino Symphonic Band is hosting its annual Children’s Concert featuring music for young audiences on Sunday, March 24, 3 p.m., at the Quinlan Community Center, 10185 N Stelling Road. Admission is free; the band is accepting donations of canned goods to benefit West Valley Community Services.

College admissions panel

De Anza College is hosting a March 16 panel of former admissions officers and consultants from colleges such as Harvard, Yale, Cornell, Stanford, USC and the University of California, designed to help students and their parents develop a successful college admission strategy.

Attendees can learn about the latest trends in college admissions, including community and diversity essays, as well as new college policies on the use of technology and artificial intelligence. The panel will also stage a mock private college admissions committee.
