Summer series off

The City of Campbell won’t be hosting its summer concert series this year due to the ongoing renovation of the Campbell Library and construction of the new Campbell Police Department facility. The series normally takes place on the Orchard City Green in front of the Ainsley House, adjacent to both construction sites.

Music at other nearby venues, including street performances along Campbell Avenue, won’t be affected.

Fiery celebration

Campbell residents ages 50 and up are invited to embrace the spirit of the Year of the Dragon Feb. 23 at a Lunar New Year celebration, featuring food catered by Golden Harvest and entertainment by Chinese Performing Arts of America.

The celebration is set for 5-7 p.m. at Orchard City Banquet Hall, 1 W. Campbell Ave. Tickets are $20 and must be purchased by 4 p.m. on Feb. 16 at http://www.campbellca.gov/adultcenterclasses. No tickets will be sold at the door. For more information, call 408-866-2146.
