SAN FRANCISCO — A body was found early Monday morning on BART tracks between the Balboa Park and Daly City stations, officials confirmed.
The discovery came just after 1 a.m., more than three hours before BART service began. The Balboa Park station remained closed until 5:20 a.m. as San Francisco coroner’s staff and BART police recovered the body and investigated the scene.
No foul play was suspected in the person’s death, according to BART spokesperson James K. Allison. No other details, including potential cause of death or any identifying information, were immediately made available.
While two trains were delayed as a result of the investigation in the early morning train service, no residual delays existed as of 9 a.m.
