Rainfall reminiscent of earlier in the week dumped down on the Bay Area on Wednesday morning, although it’s expected to come to a halt by the evening hours according to the National Weather Service.

The rain was expected to be heaviest in the morning hours, just in time for the commute. San Francisco and Oakland both received about one-tenth of an inch of rain between 6 and 7 a.m., according to the NWS. The rain filtered down to San Jose around 7 a.m.

According to a NWS morning bulletin, the heavy rainfall was expected to come to a close by around 10 a.m. but lingering showers could last into the evening.

Total rainfall predictions for the Wednesday storm included between one-quarter and one-half of an inch of rain in San Jose, San Francisco and Concord, and less than one-quarter of an inch in the inland East Bay.Source: www.mercurynews.com
