Petty theft: At 12:28 p.m., someone stole two mail packages from the front porch of a residence in the 18000 block of Sara Park Circle for a loss valued at approximately $24.

Jan. 9

Residential burglary: Between 8:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., someone entered a residence in the 14000 block of Oak Place and stole jewelry for a loss valued at approximately $850. There were no signs of forced entry.

Jan. 10

Commercial burglary: Between midnight and 8:24 a.m., someone entered Wingstop in the Westgate Corner shopping center on Prospect Road by prying the front door open, and then attempted to pry open a safe inside the restaurant. It is unknown if anything was stolen.

Jan. 11

Theft by false pretense: A Saratoga resident reported that someone contacted them via social media posing as an art dealer, faked interest in selling the victim’s paintings and ultimately convinced the victim to send money as a fee for the service for a loss of about $500.

Jan. 12

Identity theft: Someone used a Saratoga resident’s personal information to access their online shopping account without their permission. No financial loss was reported.

Jan. 13

Grand theft: Between 5 p.m. on Jan. 12 and noon on Jan. 13, someone stole an electric scooter from the driveway of a residence in the 13000 block of Harleigh Court for a loss of about $1,490.

Possession of drug paraphernalia: At 11:35 p.m., deputies stopped a bicyclist at Prospect Road and Saratoga Avenue for equipment and traffic violations. An investigation revealed the bicyclist was in possession of drug paraphernalia and had an outstanding warrant. The suspect was cited and released.

Possession of drug paraphernalia: At 5:30 p.m., deputies stopped a bicyclist at Prospect Road at Scully Avenue for equipment violations. An investigation revealed the suspect was in possession of drug paraphernalia. The suspect was cited and released.
