Power comes from a fuel-injected 426 Hemi backed by a TorqueFlite automatic transmission with Gear Vendors overdrive unit. Features include narrowed rear axle, rear-wheel mini tubs, Wilwood power disc brakes. shaved door handles, Billet Specialties wheels, custom interior, air conditioning, power windows, digital stereo, and much much more. Finished in custom green metallic over a black and gray leather interior, this Barracuda comes from the selling dealer with receipts, documentation, and clear title.
During the build, the body was finished in green metallic with 1970 “hockey stick” stripes and matte black accent stripes on the standard Barracuda hood; both stripes feature hand-painted orange pinstriping. Features include ‘Cuda “gills,” narrowed, tucked, shaved bumpers, chrome racing mirrors, shaved door handles with remote entry, and custom-molded rear valance. A walk-around video can be seen below.
A set of Billet Specialties 18-inch (front)/20-inch (rear) polished aluminum wheels is wrapped in BFGoodrich g-Force radial tires.
The cabin is furnished with black leather interior from a late-model Pontiac GTO, including power front buckets. Other features include custom door panels that pay homage to the originals, power windows, tilt steering column with three-spoke aluminum steering wheel with black grip, power steering, custom center console with Hurst automatic shifter, Vintage Air climate control system, and glove box-mounted Alpine digital AM/FM stereo.
A custom instrument panel includes a set of AutoMeter American Muscle gauges featuring a 160-mph speedometer and readouts for the fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage.
Power is provided by a fuel-injected 426 Hemi 426 crate engine backed by an A727 TorqueFlite three-speed automatic transmission with Gear Vendors overdrive. Engine bay features include chrome valve covers, body-color engine block and intake manifold, custom air cleaner, serpentine belt engine accessory system, tube exhaust headers, polished aluminum radiator, and shaved body-color inner fenders.
This Barracuda is equipped with an independent front suspension with tubular control arms and adjustable coilover shocks; out back, you’ll find a narrowed Ford nine-inch rear drive axle mounted with adjustable coilover shocks. The underbody and all suspension components have been smoothed and color-matched to the exterior of the car. Braking is provided by Wilwood power discs. The dual exhaust system has a full heat wrap and exits at the rear.
