No. 7 San Ramon Valley 64, Dougherty Valley 61

San Ramon Valley withstood a late charge from Dougherty Valley to beat the host Wildcats in an East Bay Athletic League opener for both teams on Tuesday night.

Matthew Diekmann scored 23 points and Luke Isaak added 17 points for the Wolves. SRV also got 13 points from Mason Thomas as the Danville school improved to 14-3 while stretching its winning streak to 10.

Aadi Malali, a spot-up long-distance shooter on Dougherty Valley’s North Coast Section Open Division championship team last season, led the new-look Wildcats with 19 points.

Kenny Cloud chipped in with 15 points and Jayden Doty finished with 12 points for Dougherty Valley, which fell to 11-6.

When EBAL play resumes on Friday, SRV will play host to California and Dougherty Valley will be at home to face Granada.

No. 1 Salesian 63, St. Mary’s-Berkeley 26

Salesian continued to roll through the Tri-County Athletic League Rock Division, overpowering St. Mary’s with superb defense and balanced scoring.

Aaron Hunkin-Claytor (13 points), Alvin Loving (11 points) and Zander Jimenez (11 points) scored in double figures for the Pride, who won for the 16th time in 17 games this season. Salesian is 3-0 in league play.

St. Mary’s fell to 7-8, 0-3.

Jaden Jones (seven points) and Jonathan Fernandez (six points) were the leading scorers for St. Mary’s.

Salesian plays at St. Patrick-St. Vincent on Friday before facing Archbishop Riordan in the MLK Classic at De La Salle on Monday.

No. 5 Archbishop Mitty 70, St. Francis 41

Mitty, playing at home in San Jose, cruised past St. Francis in West Catholic Athletic League play as Gavin Ripp scored 24 points and Nathan d’Abreu Noronha finished with 15 points to lead the way.

Caeden Hutcherson added eight points for the Monarchs as they improved to 9-4, 3-0.

St. Francis, which got 13 points from Max Haberlach and 10 points from Evan Lee, fell to 3-9, 1-2.

No. 8 Dublin 75, Livermore 42

Sophomore forward Cameron Anderson had 16 points, four rebounds, two steals and two blocks to help lift Dublin to a victory on its home court over Livermore in an EBAL opener.

The Gaels also got nine points and three steals from junior Miles Pollard as they upped their record to 15-3, 1-0.

Livermore is 6-11, 0-1.

No. 9 Campolindo 87, Concord 35

Campolindo extended its winning streak to four games as it overpowered visiting Concord in Diablo Athletic League play.

Tim Smith (16 points), Luke Devine (11 points) and Joe Revelos (11 points) were Campo’s top scorers as the Cougars improved to 14-3, 3-0.

Concord is 3-12, 0-3.

Milpitas 46, Palo Alto 41

Milpitas rallied from a 23-14 halftime deficit to win on the road over Palo Alto in a Santa Clara Valley Athletic League De Anza Division game.

Dylan Nguyen scored 13 points and Jacob Wrencher finished with 12 points to lead Milpitas, which improved to 11-3 overall and 2-0 in the league.

Palo Alto fell to 11-4, 2-1.

Jorell Clark had 15 points for the Vikings, who had won their previous 12 games against Milpitas.

Palo Alto led 28-24 after three quarters but was outscored 22-13 over the final eight minutes.

Moreau Catholic 85, Washington-Fremont 56

Six players scored in double figures for Moreau as the Mariners powered past visiting Washington in a Mission Valley Athletic League game.

Kevin Chapman (12 points), Jalen Arnold (12 points) and Andrew Placido (12 points) were Moreau’s leading scorers. The Mariners also got 10 points each from Kareem Jackson, Jalen Thomas and Cole Loud.

Moreau improved to 6-7, 3-0. Washington dropped to 9-5, 2-1.

Menlo School 56, Crystal Springs Uplands 19

Menlo evened its overall record to 7-7 as it breezed at home in West Bay Athletic League play behind 15 points, five rebounds and three steals from Julian Brooks and 13 points and five rebounds from Tate Cohen.

Crystal Springs dropped to 3-8.

No. 1 Archbishop Mitty 83, No. 16 St. Francis 27

It was another dominant showing by Mitty as the nation’s top-ranked team scored 49 points in the first half on its way to a rout of host St. Francis in WCAL play.

McKenna Woliczko (14 points), Elana Weisman (13 points), Tee McCarthy (13 points) and Morgan Cheli (11 points) led the way as the Monarchs improved to 12-0, 2-0.

St. Francis, which got 10 points from Paige Spencer, is 10-3, 1-2.

No. 11 Branham 61, Christopher 34

Branham, playing on the road in Gilroy, roared to a double-digit cushion in the first quarter and never looked back as the Bruins handed Christopher its first loss this season.

Gina Shim (14 points), Jaden Obedencio (12 points) and Quinn Godfrey (12 points) led Branham.

Kaycee Carrasco (12 points), Nat Javier (nine points) Frenchy Falvey (six points) were Christopher’s top scorers.

Branham improved to 11-1 overall and 1-0 in the Blossom Valley Athletic League’s Mt. Hamilton Division.

Christopher is 14-1, 0-1.

No. 18 Evergreen Valley 62, Pioneer 40

Ryka Aprameyan scored half of her team’s points — 31 — to lead the Cougars to a victory over Pioneer in a BVAL Mt. Hamilton opener.

Madison Fujii had 18 points for Pioneer, which slipped to 8-3.

Evergreen Valley improved to 9-5.

No. 19 Priory 52, Crystal Springs Uplands 27

Adelaide Chan had 10 points, two assists and two steals and Carmela Fontes finished with eight points, eight rebounds and three assists to propel Priory past Crystal Springs in WBAL Foothill Division play.

Priory improved to 7-3, 1-0. Crystal Springs fell to 6-5, 0-1.

No. 20 Salesian 71, St. Mary’s-Berkeley 54

After a tight first three quarters, Salesian pulled away in the final period to defeat host St. Mary’s in a TCAL Rock Division game.

Madalyn Kanazawa led the way with 24 points. Janiya Sawyer added 13 points, 11 rebounds, three blocks and six deflections and Jamia Sawyer finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and four steals.

The Pride also got 15 points from Ayla Rege as it improved to 6-7, 2-0.

Neiyah Thompson (16 points), Elia Kudemus (12 points) and Tatiana Wilson (12 points) scored in double figures for St. Mary’s, which dropped to 6-9, 1-2.

Menlo School 55, Notre Dame-Belmont 45

Ruiqi Liu scored 23 points and Karen Xin finished with 10 points to lead Menlo past Notre Dame-Belmont in a WBAL Foothill Division game.

Menlo is 6-5, 1-0. Notre Dame slipped to 9-4, 0-1.
