Colleague: Controversial school board member’s policies have ‘deliberately harmed children’
“The hypocrisy of what Mrs. Ziegler has done is the low-hanging fruit,” says Sarasota school board member Tom Edwards tells CNN’s Michael Smerconish, about the menage a trois scandal involving his colleague, prominent Florida Republican Bridget ZIegler. “What really has happened is that students’ self-esteem and mental health has been seriously wounded and damaged. Because while they are in the formative years, they’ve heard ‘Don’t say gay.'” He adds, “Governor DeSantis took those policies on the road deliberately, and deliberately harmed children only for their own personal political gain.
