No. 1 De La Salle 67, Fremont-Oakland 42
For the second consecutive season, De La Salle has gone unbeaten through five games.
Wednesday night at home in Concord, the Bay Area News Group’s top-ranked team turned back Fremont-Oakland as junior Alec Blair finished with 21 points, seven rebounds and seven assists and Leo Ricketts added 16 points.
The Spartans led by three points after the first quarter, 14 at halftime and 24 entering the final quarter.
Fremont fell to 3-1.
De La Salle will play host to St. Mary’s-Stockton on Friday in the opening round of the Christian Brother’s Classic.
No. 7 Sacred Heart Prep 65, Sequoia 24
Sacred Heart Prep led by 14 after the first quarter and 37 at halftime as the Gators cruised to their second consecutive rout after narrow games last week against Granada and University.
Drew Wagner had 20 points and TJ O’Brien chipped in with 17 as SHP improved to 3-1.
Nine players on the winning side made it in the scoring column, dropping Sequoia to 1-4.
SHP next plays on Dec. 12 at home against St. Ignatius.
De Anza 74, Swett 40
Sophomore Ahmari Otis scored 24 points and Christopher Smith finished with nine to lead De Anza to a lopsided victory at home over Swett in non-league play.
De Anza scored 32 points in the first quarter to build a 21-point cushion and outscored the visitors by 24 in the second quarter to put the game away.
The victory improved De Anza’s record to 2-1. Swett is 2-3.

In a matchup between unbeaten teams, Palo Alto kept its perfect record intact with a 60-52 victory over Half Moon Bay. Palo Alto improved to 4-0. HMB slipped to 4-1.
Boys soccer
No. 15 Newark Memorial 2, American 0
Newark Memorial, playing on the road, scored in each half to turn back American in a Mission Valley Athletic League opener for both teams.
Noel Cabrales and Sean Rante accounted for Newark Memorial’s goals and Armando Rodriguez added an assist as the Cougars (1-0, 1-0) won their season opener.
American dropped to 1-4, 0-1.
Serra 4, Woodside 3
Serra improved to 2-0 on the young season with a victory on the road over Woodside. Aydin Paz, Baden Smith, Will Hirsch and Nate Coughlin scored for the Padres.
Smith and Coughlin also added an assist.
Woodside slipped to 0-1-1.
Girls soccer
Piedmont Hills 5, Mt. Pleasant 0
Samantha Wallace finished with a hattrick — three goals — to lead Piedmont Hills to a decisive victory at home over Mt. Pleasant in non-league play.
Linette Gonzalez and Talia Pereira, both freshmen, also scored for Piedmont Hills as the Pirates improved to 2-1. The winning side also got assists from Madison Viray-Jones, Jaylene Ramos, Kylee Cowan and Kaylee Valencia.
Mt. Pleasant dropped to 2-1-1.
Milpitas 3, Overfelt 0
Jazlyn Bagunas, Kayli Wong and Jayden Hernandez scored for Milpitas as the Trojans prevailed a non-league match at home over Overfelt.
Milpitas scored one goal in the first half and two in the second half to win for the first time this season. The Trojans improved to 1-1-2.
Overfelt is 0-3.
