After missing more than three weeks because of a collapsed lung, New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum made his return to the lineup Wednesday against the Philadelphia 76ers, scoring 20 points in the 124-114 win.

McCollum played 28 minutes, shooting 7-of-16 from the field and adding five assists.

“I felt like a kid again,” McCollum said. “After being injured, and the type of injury that it was, I’m just thankful I can play at a high level.”

McCollum has averaged 21.7 points and 5.7 assists for the Pelicans this season, who have gone 5-7 in his absence this month.

For the Sixers, star center Joel Embiid was a late scratch due to an illness. He was replaced in the starting lineup by Marcus Morris Sr., who had seven points in 17 minutes.
