DA Price’s reform
path is right choice
Re: “DA Price is right to focus on reform” (Page A6, Nov. 7).
The fact that DA Pamela Price is focused on reform and rehabilitation shows why she’s the right choice.
With crime on the rise, you would think people want solutions, but these recall fanatics are too busy focusing on politics. Price can’t do her job and fight to defend her job simultaneously. These recall people are part of the problem, not the solution.
Statistics show mass incarceration doesn’t work. Its racist practice only has a negative impact on our community. Rehabilitation over mass incarceration is the progressive thinking we need in the East Bay.
As someone who has been in prison since I was a teenager, I know firsthand the consequences of mistakes. I also know the solution is in rehabilitation. Justice reform is the progressive solution.

Trump sons’ credibility
as bad as their dad’s
I do not understand how Donald Trump’s sons can say they will sign anything that their financial team has reviewed. When they sign, they are the only ones on the legal side of the transaction.
Trump himself said this trial is a disgrace. He is a disgrace. I am glad they are finally trying to hold him accountable for his actions. If this doesn’t work, I guess I have to give up on democracy for the United States of America and accept that we will be an autocracy, run by a dictator/narcissist. People really need to open their eyes and clear their ears.

Protests against Hamas
violence are lacking
People all over the world are protesting the bombing of innocent civilians in Gaza.
I’m wondering why not a peep from them about Vladimir Putin deliberately targeting innocent civilians in Ukraine and why aren’t the protesters also equally blaming Hamas for the carnage in Palestine? After all, Hamas started it.

Israel must destroy
Hamas for safety
Let’s not forget that Hamas terrorists invaded Israel, killing more Jews in a single day than at any time since the Holocaust. Hamas has been dedicated to eradicating Israel and will not be appeased. They are part of an ongoing global jihad.
The university-educated activists who oppose Israel are relying on emotionalism and exhibitionism to obscure the reports of atrocities that demand condemnation.
Peace will eventually come, it always does. If it is achieved by the defeat of those who started the conflict, there is a chance of something that will last.
