The National Weather Service on Sunday afternoon issued a wind advisory for the Bay Area until Monday morning.
Mountains and hilly areas are expected to experience north to northeast winds of 20 to 30 mph with some gusts of 45 mph. Several areas could reach gusts as high as 50 to 55 mph.
The National Weather Service recommends securing loose items that could blow away and to use caution when operating certain vehicles.
The wind advisory comes after rain pelted the region on Friday and Saturday, with the strongest rains hitting the North Bay and the Santa Cruz Mountains.
