ANTIOCH – A 43-year-old Antioch man was found shot to death Wednesday in the city, police said.

Officers were called to the railroad tracks between A Street and Cavallo Road just after 2 p.m. for a report of a person who was possibly dead, Antioch police Lt. Rick Martin said in a news release. They arrived to find a man with a gunshot wound.

Paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. His identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

Police did not announce any arrests or release any additional information about the case.
