SAN JOSE — An elderly man was injured in a two-alarm residential fire Friday night in San Jose, according to authorities.
Crews were called to the one-story, single-family home in the 900 block of North Third Street at 6:19 p.m., a San Jose Fire Department spokesperson said. The fire was upgraded to a second alarm minutes later and knocked down shortly after 6:45 p.m.
An elderly man was rescued from the home and taken to a hospital, according to the spokesperson. Additional information about his injuries was not immediately available.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
