SAN FRANCISCO – Four members of the Hells Angels Motorcycle Club were arrested Tuesday in the Bay Area on suspicion of shooting a man earlier this year in Sacramento County, authorities said.
The shooting happened July 8 in Fair Oaks, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies arrived to find a man suffering from at least one gunshot wound to his stomach. He was taken to a hospital and ultimately survived his injuries.
Authorities said deputies and detectives with the law enforcement agency’s Gang Suppression Unit determined the shooting was gang-motivated and the victim was targeted.
Four members of the motorcycle club’s San Francisco branch – William Kibblewhite, Ederic Llarena, Dominic Venezia and Valentino Venezia – were identified as suspects, according to the sheriff’s office. Warrants were issued for their arrest.
On Tuesday, local, state and federal authorities served search warrants in seven locations and arrested the suspects. Kibblewhite was booked into San Mateo County jail, Llarena into Contra Costa County jail, and Dominic and Valentio Venezia into San Francisco County jail.
Authorities said the search warrants yielded 15 firearms, $112,000 in cash, and Hells Angels gang indicia and intelligence documents.
All four men are facing criminal charges including attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and shooting at an occupied vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office. They are slated to appear Friday afternoon in Sacramento County Superior Court.
