Bow reached the end zone three times, twice on runs. Josh Rodriguez and Samu Iosia thwarted Heritage drives with key interceptions. The Patriots (3-5, 1-2) are going through the toughest part of their schedule now, having to play Pittsburg and Liberty in two of their last three games. Heritage is clinging to a playoff spot in D-II, but it will be close with teams such as Livermore and Berkeley in the rearview mirror. Heritage is 3-2 versus D-II opponents and 0-3 against teams from D-!. The Patriots stayed close in the first half with the help of a 99-yard kickoff return by Jordan Kinnaird. The Uglies (4-4, 2-1 East Bay Athletic League Mountain) will visit California next Friday in a contest that could determine who gets a spot in the North Coast Section Division I playoffs. We will get there.” Monte Vista has to play De La Salle and San Ramon Valley in its final two regular-season contests, so the Mustangs will need help to reach the playoffs.
