Former President Donald Trump will hold a campaign rally in Hialeah, Florida, on November 8, the same night that the third Republican presidential primary debate is slated to take place in Miami, Florida.
The Republican National Committee has tapped NBC News, Salem Radio Network, the Republican Jewish Coalition, and Rumble as partners for the upcoming event.
The debate in the Sunshine State approaches as Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and other presidential hopefuls seek to clinch the GOP presidential nod. But Trump, who did not attend the first or second primary debates earlier this year, has been trouncing the rest of the GOP primary field in polls.
“The last debate was the lowest rated debate in history. The next and probably last one, in Miami, will do even worse. Republicans should not debate, they should UNITE in defeating the WORST & MOST INCOMPETENT ADMINISTRATION IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNITED STATES,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
If Trump secures the GOP nomination, Americans will likely see a rematch of the 2020 election. Biden has faced little primary competition, and Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who had been running as a Democrat, has switched to run as an independent candidate.
Trump had endorsed GOP Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio for House speaker, but Jordan’s bid collapsed on Friday, and a number of Republican lawmakers have announced bids to fill the slot.
Trump had suggested that he would be open to potentially serving as House speaker for awhile if the GOP can’t pick someone for the job. “I will do it if necessary, should they not be able to make their decision,” Trump noted, according to Fox News Digital.
