A man from Delaware kidnapped an 11-year-old girl from her New Jersey home and drove her more than 135 miles away before she was rescued, according to police.

Police in Wayne, New Jersey, said they were called to a home on September 10 at about 6:45 a.m. for a report of a missing girl.

The girl was found by police on the same day, but they did not say how she was allegedly abducted.

Passaic County prosecutor Camelia Valdes said the girl was driven by 27-year-old Darius Matylewich from her home to Bear, Delaware, without her parents’ knowledge or consent.

Matylewich was extradited from Delaware to New Jersey and is being held at the Bergen County Jail. He was charged with first-degree kidnapping and third-degree endangering the welfare of a child.

Roblox is an incredibly popular online game platform with more than 54 million users every day, half of them under the age of 13.

The company released a statement to ABC News stating that they reached out to law enforcement and offered their help.

“We work tirelessly to prevent grooming on our platform and have a team of thousands of moderators who enforce a strict set of community standards,” the company added.

Law enforcement officials have warned parents to monitor what their children are doing online. In a similar story from April, an Indiana man allegedly drove 1,100 miles in hopes of having sex with a 15-year-old that he had been grooming online for five years, according to Texas police.

Matylewich faces 30 years in prison if he is convicted. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 20.
