First lady Jill Biden, who tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week, tested negative on Thursday, according to her communications director, Elizabeth Alexander.
“She’s feeling better and is grateful for all the well-wishes,” Alexander noted.
Leftist commentator Harry Sisson reacted to the news by thanking medical professionals and the COVID-19 vaccine.
“First Lady Jill Biden has tested NEGATIVE for Covid-19. I’m so glad she made a full recovery so quickly! Thank you to the medical professionals who helped and thank you to the vaccine. This is great news,” Sisson wrote in a post on X.
Sisson, who features the word “Democrat” on his X profile, has more than 700,000 followers on TikTok.
He was not the only person celebrating COVID-19 vaccines in response to the news about the first lady.
“Thank goodness for vaccines,” leftist figure Victor Shi wrote in a post about the first lady testing negative. “Hope everyone stays healthy & gets boosted.”
The first lady’s communications director had announced in a statement on Monday that Jill Biden tested positive for COVID-19 that evening and had mild symptoms. President Joe Biden has been testing negative this week.
Many prominent figures have tested positive for COVID-19 despite getting multiple vaccine jabs.
Last year, Alexander noted in a statement that “double-vaccinated, twice boosted” Jill Biden had tested positive for COVID-19 and had mild symptoms.
Updated COVID-19 vaccine boosters are expected to be green-lighted soon.
The CDC has claimed that “mRNA COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective in preventing the most severe outcomes from a COVID-19 infection.”
