PACIFICA — A 20-year-old New Jersey man was arrested after he crashed into another vehicle while drunk driving in a rented truck, police said.
Police responded at about 5:22 p.m. Aug. 20 to a reported hit-and-run collision on the parking lot at 5200 Cabrillo Highway, according to a news release Tuesday. There, officers found a damaged Tesla that had been hit by a white Ford F-150 truck. Police later saw the truck, determined to be a rental, run through a stop sign at the intersection of Crespi and Seville drives.
After pulling the driver over, officers observed signs of intoxication in the driver, police said. The driver was then arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run, driving under the influence and driving under the influence under 21-years of age.
