Kari Lake has that she is “seriously” mulling the possibility of launching a U.S. Senate bid in Arizona.
“I’m seriously contemplating running for Senate,” Lake said during an appearance on Newsmax, noting that she will make her decision in the next few months.
Lake, who is a vocal supporter of former President Donald Trump, said during an appearance on NewsNation that she will make her choice about running for Senate by the end of the year.
“I’ll do anything I can to help him get reelected,” Lake said of Trump during that NewsNation appearance.
Trump appears to be on track to easily clinch the Republican presidential nomination again. He has been trouncing the rest of the GOP primary field, according to polling.
“Republicans will unite around our nominee, President Donald J. Trump, and together, we will put an END to Bidenomics,” Lake declared in a post on X.
In a post earlier this month she claimed that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis — one of the candidates running in the GOP presidential primary — “is controlled by the swamp.”
Last year Lake lost the Arizona gubernatorial election to then-Arizona Secretary of State Katie Hobbs, though Lake has claimed that she actually won the contest and that the election was stolen.
“I’ve looked at the polling, to be honest, and I believe I’m the only one who can win that race,” Lake said last month of Arizona’s U.S. Senate contest, according to NBC News.
