Four years after Taco Bell opened its first San Jose cantina, a second one is now serving microbrews with their Burrito Supremes, Crunchwraps and Mexican Pizzas.

The newest boozy Bell, located at Westfield Oakridge Mall, features modern decor, shareable dishes — and beer, wine and boozy versions of its Freeze drinks. And unlike many locations, this Blossom Hill Road one boasts a patio that seats 24, with comfy chairs, a couch and a fireplace.

This location is open now for those who want to be the inaugural customers, but the grand opening celebration starts Wednesday, Aug. 23 at 10 a.m. The first 100 people in line will receive a free custom Taco Bell cup. Also, all customers who make a purchase during the day will be entered in a contest to win free Taco Bell for a year.

In the Bay Area, the alcohol-fueled concept launched with Berkeley and San Francisco locations. In the summer of 2019, a Taco Bell Cantina opened in downtown San Jose, and the Pacifica location was rebranded as a cantina. A Danville cantina opened in 2020. Beers are dispensed via a system called “Bottoms Up” that pours quickly and efficiently, from the bottom up.

Details: Open from 10 a.m. to midnight daily at 925 Blossom Hill Road, San Jose, for dine-in or takeout/delivery via the Taco Bell app. www.tacobell.com
