Tomb raider Lara Croft and hip hop artists Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, and 21 Savage are joining Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II and Warzone sometime during Season 5, which launches next month.

More specifically, Season 5 of Modern Warfare II and Warzone begins August 2 and it’s during this season Lara Croft, Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, and 21 Savage will join the game as playable Operators. Lara Croft will arrive as an Operator bundle on the store mid-season, as will 21 Savage, but Snoop Dogg will arrive in the launch window and Nicki Minaj hits the game “in-season,” according to a Call of Duty blog post about Season 5.

Call of Duty brings these musical artists to the game to celebrate 50 years of hip-hop. Anyone who logs in between August 7 and August 16 on four separate days within that time period will receive a free gift. The first three days will grant a War Track from the 80s, 90, or 2000s. On the fourth login day, you will receive a special Weapon Blueprint.

Kotaku contacted Activision to confirm that Nicki Minaj, Snoop Dogg, and 21 Savage did voiceover work for their Operators. Here’s a look at Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dogg in-game, with a tease of 21 Savage’s Operator (Activision has not released an image of the Lara Croft Operator):

There’s plenty more coming to Modern Warfare II and Warzone in Season 5, including four new maps at launch – two core maps and two gunfight maps – and a mid-season core map. Additional operators, weapons, game modes, and more will be added to the game, and you can read about all that in the Call of Duty blog post here

Finally, Season 5 will feature a special event revealing the 2023 Call of Duty game.

“Drop into Call of Duty: Warzone to experience the worldwide reveal for Call of Duty 2023 in a limited-time event,” the blog post reads. “Join the ranks of Shadow Company to take on Konni forces and secure the chemical weapon threat before it’s too late. Stay tuned to Call of Duty channels for more information about the upcoming reveal.”

Season 5 of Modern Warfare II and Warzone launches on August 2 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
