BERKELEY — A man who had gotten into an argument with a shuttle bus driver Monday morning outside Alta Bates Medical Center was arrested after a gun was found in his vehicle, police said.
No injuries were reported.
Police responded to a report of an argument about 10:40 a.m. on the Colby Street side of the hospital between a shuttle bus driver and a man illegally parked in a spot reserved for the shuttle.
Initial reports were that “words of a threatening nature” were allegedly said by the man, police said.
Authorities said a report that the man brandished a handgun during the dispute was being investigated.
A gun was found in the man’s car and he was arrested, police said. He was to be booked on numerous firearms charges, authorities said.
