Police have arrested a man accused of killing his 65-year-old mother in Tracy.
Carla Carroll was found dead in her home on Thicket Court on Friday night with at least one gunshot wound, according to Sgt. Michael Richards, a public information officer at the Tracy Police Department. By the following morning, detectives had booked her 26-year-old son, Spencer Carroll, also from Tracy, into the San Joaquin County Jail.
Though the investigation into Carroll’s death is ongoing, Richards said there were no other suspects aside from Spencer Carroll. Police are still looking into why the murder happened and have not yet released any motives for the crime.
Authorities are encouraging those with any information about the case to contact Detective Brian Azevedo at Brian.Azevedo@TracyPD.com or (209) 831-6534.
