A man was fatally shot Friday evening in San Francisco’s Tenderloin neighborhood, police said.
They also announced two arrests in a fatal shooting that happened last year.
Friday’s homicide was reported at 6:11 p.m. at Hyde Street and Golden Gate Avenue. The victim, a man, was pronounced dead at the scene. No information was released on the suspect.
The arrests announced were of suspects in a shooting June 30, 2022, on the 400 block of Rose Street, in the Lower Haight neighborhood. Carlos Discua, 20, was shot around 9:15 that night; he was taken to a hospital, where he died.
Two suspects were identified. On June 28 of this year, investigators learned that one of them, a 35-year-old man, was in custody in Contra Costa County on an unrelated case. A warrant detainer was placed on him for the San Francisco homicide, police said.
On Wednesday, July 19, the other suspect, a 25-year-old man, was arrested in South San Francisco.
