San Mateo police said in a news release that officers were called Wednesday to Fiesta Gardens International School on Bermuda Drive after a parent reported “inappropriate interactions” between her child and a staff member at a Boys and Girls Club program hosted on the school grounds.

Police said an ensuing investigation identified 25-year-old Redwood City resident Kevin Granados-Elizalde, an assistant site director for the summer program, as a suspect.

Within a day, Granados-Elizalde was arrested and booked into San Mateo County jail on suspicion of crimes including lewd and lascivious acts with a child under 14, coercing a minor to pose for obscene material, arranging to meet a minor to commit a lewd act, possession of child pornography, and burglary.

Records show he is being held in lieu of $125,000 bail, and had an arraignment scheduled for Friday.

Police did not release additional details about the investigation, and asked that anyone with information for police about Granados-Elizalde or other potential victims contact Detective Dave Manion at 650-504-7568 or dmanion@cityofsanmateo.org.
