Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 1974 MG MGB roadster. It is powered by a 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder engine backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Several new components have been updated over the past five years including a new windshield, interior, Nardi steering wheel, front and rear suspension, and white paint. Finished with a black soft top over a tan leather interior, this MG comes with a car cover and clear title in the seller’s name.

In 2018, the exterior was refinished in what reportedly is the original white hue. Features include “early” chrome bumpers with bumper guards, newer windshield and gasket, manual black convertible top with plastic rear windows, full-length side trim, newer bullet-style mirrors, and luggage rack.

A set of 14-inch Rostyle steel wheels is wrapped in 175/70/R14 Michelin Weatherwise radial tires that were installed in 2018. Additionally, an alloy valve stem kit has been added.

The cabin has been furnished with an interior kit from Moss Motors that includes tan leather seat covers, and tan carpeting, door cards (aka “door panel” to Americans), and side panels. Features include woodgrain trim, $500 aluminum and wood Nardi steering wheel, manual steering, console-mounted manual transmission shifter, and black floor mats. The trunk is equipped with a newer molded carpet kit.

The instrument panel consists of a 120-mph speedometer, 7,000-rpm tachometer, and gauges for the fuel level, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The odometer reads 16,970 miles, with 310 miles having been added during the seller’s three years of ownership.

Power is provided by a 1.8-liter inline four-cylinder engine equipped with dual carburetors, alloy valve cover, and newer spark plugs and ignition wiring. A four-speed manual transmission helps put the MG in motion.

The front and rear suspensions were rebuilt within the past five years. Braking is handled by manual front discs and rear drums. A single exhaust system exits at the rear through dual outlets.
