Grand theft, vehicle tampering: Between 4 a.m. and 4:05 a.m., someone stole a catalytic converter from a parked vehicle on the 18000 block of Devon Avenue for a total loss of approximately $1,000.
JUNE 12
Petty theft: Someone entered an unlocked vehicle parked in the 18000 block of Westview Drive overnight and stole a garage door remote for a loss of about $9.
Shoplifting: At 8:17 a.m., deputies responded to a disturbance at CVS in the Argonaut Shopping Center on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. An investigation revealed the suspect stole merchandise valued at approximately $100. The suspect was cited and released.
Possession of a stolen vehicle, misappropriated property, shoplifting: At 9:22 a.m., deputies responded to the area of Saratoga Avenue and Highway 85 for an automated license plate reader notification for a vehicle reported stolen out of San Jose. The vehicle was located in the CVS parking lot at Quito Road and Saratoga Avenue, and the driver was found exiting the store after stealing merchandise valued at $37. Further investigation revealed the suspect passenger waiting in the car was in possession of methamphetamine. The driver also had an outstanding warrant, and deputies located misappropriated property inside the vehicle which included driver’s licenses and debit and credit cards. The driver was arrested and booked into jail, while the passenger was cited and released.
JUNE 16
Vehicle burglary: Between 8:33 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., someone entered a parked vehicle on the 12000 block of Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road by breaking a window and stole golf clubs valued at approximately $2,000.
JUNE 17
Burglary, vandalism: Between 4:15 a.m. and 4:29 a.m., two suspects entered a locked business in the 12000 block of Saratoga Avenue by prying open a door and stole approximately $300 in cash and cigarettes. The suspects caused significant damage to the property and are at large.
