Today we’re looking at an AutoHunter Cinema feature of a 1969 Chevrolet COPO Camaro built by Dick Harrell. Dick Harrell was a drag racer who earned the nickname “Mr. Chevrolet” after steadfastly representing the Bowtie, even during moments sans factory backing. Harrell would become a pioneer of 427 Camaro transplants and assist with the development of the aluminum ZL1 427ci V8 in 1969. In 1971, he would lose his life in a drag racing accident. This particular vehicle went on to sell for $121,000 at the 2023 Barrett-Jackson Palm Beach auction.
