Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 2017 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport Convertible with only 50 miles on the odometer. You will be able to view this specimen at the AutoHunter booth at the 2023 Barrett-Jackson Auction in Las Vegas on June 22-24, though the AutoHunter auction ends on June 23rd at noon PDT.
Originally delivered to Hare Chevrolet of Noblesville, Indiana, this Grand Sport is loaded with options, in addition to being brand-new! Of course, it’s powered by a 460-horsepower LT1 6.2-liter V8, with the original buyer specifying the eight-speed automatic transmission. Features include the 3LT Preferred Equipment Group, AE4 Competition Sport Seats, CFZ Carbon Fiber Package, TTV Carbon Flash painted outside mirrors, and Z25 Grand Sport Collector Edition package — one of 151 convertibles built with the package. Painted Watkins Glen Gray metallic with black center stripe and blue fender stripes (as part of the Z25 package), this very special Corvette will come with the original window sticker, clean CARFAX report, and clear title.
For 2017, the Grand Sport was situated between the regular Corvette Stingray and the Corvette Z06. The Grand Sport was a hybrid of sorts, featuring the Stingray’s powertrain with the NPP Performance Exhaust (for a five-horsepower bump) along with the Z06’s chassis. Other equipment included a dry-sump oiling system, electronic limited-slip rear differential, and FE4 Magnetic Ride Control. The 3LT Preferred Equipment Group, required with the Z25 package, added front curb-view cameras, navigation with Performance Data Recorder, head-up display, and leather-wrapped instrument panel, center console, and door panels plus suede-like microfiber interior trim.
The Watkins Glen Gray metallic hue, required with the Z25 package, is accented by a Satin Black center stripe and blue fender hash marks. Features include xenon headlights, front splitter, vented carbon fiber hood, Carbon Flash mirrors housings and badges, rocker panel extensions, power-operated black fabric top with heated glass rear window, and two-level rear spoiler.
This Corvette Grand Sport rides on a set of 19-inch (front) and 20-inch (rear) black aluminum wheels and 285/30ZR19 (front) and 335/25ZR20 (rear) Michelin Pilot Super Sport ZP tires.
The interior is furnished with the Z25-specific heated and ventilated seats trimmed in Tension Blue leather and black perforated microfiber, which are complemented by Tension Blue accents on the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Features include keyless entry and start, power accessories galore including windows, locks, mirrors, and power tilt and telescoping steering column, dual-zone climate control, eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the Performance Data and Video Recorder, front curb-view camera system, rear camera, and 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot.
The instrument panel consists of an analog 205-mph speedometer complemented by a digital speedometer, 7,500-rpm tachometer, and other readouts. A heads-up display projects selected vehicle information to the windshield. The digital odometer shows 50 miles.
This Corvette Grand Sport is powered by a naturally aspirated, dry-sump LT1 6.2-liter V8 that produces 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. An 8L90 eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters delivers power to the rear wheels with assistance from an electronic limited-slip rear differential.
Ride and handling are supported by Active Handling stability and traction control, anti-lock disc brakes with slotted rotors, and the FE2 Magnetic Ride Control that was included with the Grand Sport model.
