Has the apocalypse already happened?
From brain chips and death pods to cyborg sex changes, it’s hard not to get the sense that we’re living in a dystopia when you see the “advances” that are being made in technology.
But have no fear — author and infamous tech-theorist James Poulos is launching a brand new show with BlazeTV this Sunday at 7 p.m. EST to help you make sense of it all.
Each Sunday on “Zero Hour,” Poulos will be bringing you insightful conversations with some of the most interesting thinkers in politics, tech, and culture to explore the effects technology is having on our sense of humanity.
For a taste of the kind of meaningful conversations you can expect from Poulos, check out his appearance on a recent episode of “The Chad Prather Show.”
The two discuss how Silicon Valley promised us that technology would usher in a utopia but has instead delivered a waking nightmare.
“We’re building this box,” Poulos says at one point, “that can summon things that, you know, we like to flatter ourselves we can control.”
However, rather than controlling this “box” that offers us “divine creative power,” the opposite happens. It begins to control us.
“We become enslaved to it,” Poulos warns.
“Just the way that adults, doctors, parents are doing these things to their children, turning them into monsters, it is a force much more powerful and much more diabolical than they’re willing to believe.”
If you’re curious to learn more — like how to combat the evil seeping into our human lives via AI — then “Zero Hour with James Poulos” is for you.
So, take out your artificially intelligent computer or smart phone this Sunday at 7 p.m. EST and head over to the BlazeTV YouTube channel for the premiere.
And don’t be late — AI sees all.
