Have you ever been a fan of a band that was so great but never achieved the success you think it deserved? Sometimes popularity comes over time, years after the group disbands — the band Love would be a good example. Sometimes a band may have been popular when contemporary but then, over time, it has become overshadowed by other bands. Humble Pie is another good example.

We imagine cars are no different.

In episode eight of Drive the Bid, Derek Shiekhi, “Jalopy Jeff” Sutton and I select several vehicles from various eras that we feel may deserve more attention. Maybe it’s a car that’s been overshadowed by a more famous competitor. Or perhaps horsepower has made more recent versions of a particular vehicle garner more attention. Maybe expectations of a vehicle were such that the buff books were let down despite being a good performer. It truly can run the gamut, as you’ll see in the below video.
