The past few years have seen a surge in new firearms owners. And while that is a good thing, it also means there are a lot of new shooters who don’t know what they don’t know. For this reason, training is a must. Not only in the basics of firearms safety but also in proper handling, shooting technique, awareness, etc. Fortunately, the people of Wisconsin have a new state-of-the-art Mission94 Firearms Education Center on its way in early 2024.

Mission94 promises a new concept in firearm education and historical appreciation. Approved by the Village of Somers, Wisconsin, the center will share the same campus as Chicago’s Pritzker Military Museum & Library’s new Archives Center.

Opening in early 2024, Mission94 will be committed to providing a safe and friendly experience. However, the focus will remain on firearm and firearm safety education.

“Education and training are real-world solutions to real-world problems, and part of this project is to educate people about firearms, education, and safety,” Village President George Stoner said. “I’m very positive and very excited about it. It’s going to be a huge asset to the Village of Somers.”

The center will welcome people of all backgrounds and experience levels, offering opportunities to improve on existing skill levels. With 15 shooting lanes, sound mitigation, and modern air filtration, the center’s instructors provide classroom and interactive range training. Instructors will give on-site training on first-time ownership, concealed carry, home defense, firearm safety, distance shooting, and more.

All instructors are top-rated and certified, ensuring that students and guests will be able to advance their skills and firearms knowledge. This includes learning about firearm history and having the opportunity to operate firearm replicas from multiple eras throughout history.

“We are excited to share this new firearms education center where people can learn about the history of firearms in this country, the importance of safety, and work with top professionals at all levels in our new facility,” said Mission 94 Firearm and Training Center Special Projects and Operations Manager, Chris Meter.
