Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is this 2007 Bentley Continental GTC.

The 2007 Bentley Continental GTC combines all-wheel drive, an air suspension, and generous interior features into a grand-touring convertible. The most impressive piece of engineering in this British-built car is undoubtedly its 552-horsepower 39,500-mile twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter W12 motor.

This ultra-luxury roadster had an original retail price of nearly $200,000 but is being offered at auction on AutoHunter at a deeply discounted rate. Options include an adaptive air suspension, 22-inch wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, and woodgrain trim. This Continental GTC is being offered by a private seller in Laguna Woods, California with a clear title and an accident-free CARFAX report.

The first-generation Continental GT was introduced in 2003 at the Paris Auto Show and was assembled on the Volkswagen Group D1 platform. A model year update was carried out in 2006, which was the same year the convertible version (thus named the GTC) was publicly launched (its retractable roof was produced by Karmann in Germany at the time). This low-mileage GTC has mesh grilles, a hood ornament, chrome accent moldings, LED taillights, and quad exhaust outlets. A test by Edmunds showed that retracting the power-operated top took just 25 seconds.

The interior accommodates four people in opulent luxury. Among the amenities are premium leather, fine Birds Eye Maple wood, dual-zone automatic climate control, stainless-steel pedals, and a touchscreen infotainment system with navigation.

As for the heart of this, power comes from a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W12 which was rated at 552 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. Even though this is a 5,500-lb big-body luxury convertible with lots of amenities, it still moves with confidence: Acceleration evaluations showed zero-to-sixty could be achieved in about 4.7 seconds courtesy of the six-speed automatic.

Adding to the appeal of this grand-tourer is its solid maintenance history. The CARFAX report shows over 30 service records, so this car has been well-maintained throughout its life.

When new, the Continental GTC had a retail price between $172,000 and $192,000. This low-mileage example presents an opportunity to own one of the world’s finest grand-touring luxury convertibles for a fraction of the price.

The auction for this 2007 Bentley Continental GTC ends on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at 2:45 p.m. (PDT)
