Citadel and Legacy Sports pay homage to the Glock 48 with the Centurion CP9 clone. Featuring an optic cut slide, Glock competition sights, and an 804 trigger kit, the pistol is primed for concealed carry. And the lower price point ensures that you won’t break the bank to put one at your side.

The Citadel Centurion CP9

100% made in the USA, the Centurion CP9 is modeled off the Glock 48 and provides upgrades shooters will appreciate. Featuring a textured polymer frame, the grip includes finger grooves with vertical texturing for an enhanced grip. Additionally, the grip sides feature a textured indent for the hand to settle into.

Likewise, a shock-absorbing backstrap helps mitigate felt recoil. However, according to the company, the backstrap is not interchangeable. Just forward the trigger guard is a single slot Picatinny rail for attaching lights, lasers, and other accessories.

Riding atop the frame is the slide constructed of 4140 steel, providing rugged durability. In addition, forward and rear deep cocking serrations allow easy slide manipulation, whether wet or dry. The forward section of the slide, just after the ejection port, is beveled to help reduce weight and add to the overall aesthetic.

Sitting atop the slide are Glock competition sights, providing the overall Glock aiming experience. However, the slide also features an optic cut with the Shield RMRc footprint for the addition of a red dot. Housed within the slide is the 4-inch barrel with a 1:16” twist, chambered in 9mm.

Rounds are sent downrange via the proprietary Citadel 804 trigger kit. Correspondingly, the Centurion CP9 comes with one 14-round magazine. But 10- and 17-round magazines are also available through the company.

The Centurion CP9 is available in black, burnt bronze, OD green, and titanium gray. But for the more patriotic, they are also available in a cerakoted USA or grayscale ammo can package.

Editor’s Note

Although this is a Glock clone, it is worth noting that it is not compatible with Glock parts. I spoke with a representative of the company and was told that it is entirely proprietary. This includes no compatibility with Glock magazines.

Since the sights are Glock competition sights, it is likely that they may be compatible with other Glock sights. In fact, some retailers list the sights as Glock-compatible. However, I would check with the company before purchasing any sight upgrades for the CP9.
