Does bail reform lead to increased crime?
Many claim that after bail reform, more people charged with crimes are out on the streets, committing more crimes. But, says law professor Joceyln Simonson, that fails to take into account “all the so-called suspected felons who were able to go home, keep their jobs, stay with their families, which studies show makes them less likely to be rearrested in the future.”
