One of the fastest growing manufacturers in the southwest, C&H Precision Weapons releases its EDC concealed carry optic. Offering a long battery life, and rugged construction, the optic is ready for hard daily use. Likewise, it is available in your choice of red or green reticle, including multi-reticle options. The EDC is one of the company’s first in-house optics and lives up to the motto, “No quarter given.” It is available for pre-order now and begins shipping in May.

The C&H Precision Weapons EDC

Featuring a CNC-machined, one-piece aluminum aircraft body, the EDC features 100% shockproof construction, according to the company. As a result, the unit can withstand a 1,500gs force 1,000 times. For this reason, the optic is capable of easily tolerating the recoil from +P and +P+ ammunition.

Likewise, a waterproof rating of IPX7 enables the optic to withstand submersion in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes. Meaning that it can withstand hard use in inclement conditions for an extended period of time.

With a length of 1.6 inches, width of .98 inches, and height of .94 inches, the EDC is designed specifically for concealed carry. However, the .62-inch lens diameter offers ample room for a good sight picture in the small platform. Likewise, its light weight of .6 ounces will not add undo weight to your firearm. The EDC is available with GLx or RMSc mounting options.

Available in red or green reticle, the EDC features a 3 MOA dot. However, a multi-reticle version with a 3 MOA dot and 34 MOA circle is also available. Windage and elevation are adjustable with a 35 MOA range each and a click value of 1 MOA per click.

The optic boasts a battery life of 50,000 hours on a single CR2032 3V lithium battery. Correspondingly, a Smart Power Management system helps preserve battery life by shutting down after five minutes of inactivity. To ensure that the optic is ready to go when you are, a motion-controlled shake-to-wake feature wakes the optic up when it detects motion. The EDC includes ten brightness level settings, with levels 1 and 2 being night vision compatible.

Editor’s Note:

The larger brother to the EDC, the EDC-XL, will also be released soon and is suited for larger framed pistols. Featuring many of the same features as the EDC, the EDC-XL takes things to a slightly higher level. Keep following this story, and we will update it as soon as the EDC-XL is available.
