DETROIT — The Milwaukee Bucks didn’t have All-Stars Giannis Antetokounmpo or Jrue Holiday for Monday night’s game with the Detroit Pistons.

It didn’t matter.

Milwaukee beat Detroit 126-117, with Khris Middleton scoring 34 points against the team that drafted him.

“With Giannis out, I knew I had to be aggressive,” said Middleton, who added eight rebounds and five assists. “I had to get to my spots and when I got there, I’ve either got to shoot or find the open man.”

Holiday was unavailable for personal reasons and Antetokounmpo sat out with a sore right knee. Both absences were announced well before tipoff.

Antetokounmpo has missed 11 games over the course of the season due to left knee soreness, but Monday was the first time he’s been out with a sore right knee. It was the 16th game overall that the two-time MVP has missed this season.
