Main story: Dodge Challenger Demon 170 is revealed: 1,025 horsepower and packing a parachute
If you’re into Hellcats and are excited about seeing Dodge reveal its final “Last Call” car, click the livestream rewind above.
The reveal took place at a Roadkill Nights event in Las Vegas, a carnival dedicated to all things drag racing, so the pairing with a Dodge muscle car reveal is fitting.
The automaker released a steady drip of teaser videos, including this last one, leading up to this event, each with a mysterious hint at the car’s specs and capabilities. Turns out the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170 is a 1,025-horsepower ethanol-fueled drag car with optional parachute. It got helicoptered in, and laid down a run — it’s capable of turning a quarter-mile in 8.9 seconds.
