EAST PALO ALTO — A 64-year-old man died Sunday after a vehicle fatally struck him and damaged other parked vehicles, authorities said.
In limited information shared Sunday evening, police said officers responded at 10:08 a.m. to reports of a possible hit-and-run collision in the 2200 block of Ralmar Avenue south of Bay Road. While enroute, officers learned that a pedestrian struck by a vehicle had suffered injuries.
When officers arrived, they found an unconscious man in a home’s driveway, and three parked vehicles nearby that had sustained damage.
First responders took the man to a hospital, where he received treatment for injuries but was later pronounced dead. His identity was not immediately available, pending next-of-kin notification by the San Mateo County coroner’s bureau.
About a block away, officers soon found the apparently involved automobile, and learned it had struck two other parked vehicles and a home’s fence.
