Law enforcement in Oakland said they are investigating several sideshows that were reported late Friday night into early Saturday morning around the city.
In a shocking video reportedly taken last night in Oakland, a large semi-truck seems to be participating in a sideshow, driving fast in a tight circle, surrounded by hundreds of onlookers, many of whom ran right up to the truck, cheering, and jumping on the back.

Police have stepped up enforcements on sideshows in recent years, saying the events have gotten more frequent, larger, and more dangerous. Sideshows are unsanctioned events where people and their cars gather to illegally take over local streets, street race, show off their cars, and spin donuts.
Many local intersections sport the notable black circular marks, from when participants leave their rubber on the road while pulling their risky moves.
Police will have additional resources on the streets this weekend for enforcement of illegal sideshow activity. If you take part in illegal sideshows in Oakland your vehicle could end towed and seized with a 30-day hold.
