Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a 1971 Porsche 911E Karmann coupe.
This 911 was originally finished in Albert Blue but was repainted red in 2022. It features a whale tail rear spoiler, a single exhaust outlet, and color-matched bumpers.
It rides on five-spoke 16-inch Fuchs-style wheels with black pockets and polished lips. The wheels are wrapped in Dunlop front and Yokohama rear tires.
“The two-seat cockpit is fitted with black leather buckets along with matching finishes for the dashboard, steering wheel, door panels, and newer carpeting,” the listing states. “Interior features include a tubular roll cage, a Momo steering wheel, metallic dash trim, carpeted floor mats, a carpeted front cargo area, and tinted windows. A Pioneer AM/FM/cassette radio is installed but is inoperative, according to the selling dealer.”
It’s powered by a rear-mounted 2.2-liter flat-six engine with a pair of rebuilt Weber carburetors, and an aftermarket fuel cell. The engine is paired with a five-speed manual transmission that sends power to the rear wheels.
According to the selling dealer the Porsche has a hard-start condition when the motor is cold. The oil and other fluids were changed within the last 100 miles.
The five-digit mechanical odometer has rolled over and reads 18,402 miles. That equates to 118,402 miles, which the selling dealer reports is accurate. The existing Ohio title classifies this as a 1970 vehicle, but the selling dealer states that the model year will be corrected to 1971 upon transfer to the buyer.
The sale includes a clear Ohio title, and a Porsche Production Specifications document.
