At the recent Athlon Outdoors Rendezvous, there were 11 stations, each with shooters testing the latest firearms from each company. Needless to say, that much shooting at one time can get loud. The Rugged Suppressors Obsidian9
Constructed of hard coat anodized aluminum, the Obsidian9 features a high temp Cerakote in black or FDE. Correspondingly, the keyed baffles are machines from 17-4 stainless steel barstock, with three indexing tabs for proper alignment. As a result, the suppressor will not only last a lifetime but withstands any rate of fire. As a matter of fact, the Obsidian9 is belt-fed rated for pistol calibers up to 9mm.
Utilizing a non-slotted design, the Obsidian9 creates a full-circumference gas seal. This seal drastically lowers gas blowback, resulting in a much more enjoyable shooting experience. Correspondingly, the pistons are cross-compatible with SilencerCo slotted pistons as well.
ADAPT Modular technology offers users two suppressors with one tax stamp. Specifically, the suppressor can be reduced in size by nearly half to provide a short configuration for pistol. Or, you can leave it in the full 7.8-inch configuration for use on a carbine. Likewise, it is fully compatible with suppressor height sights.
The mount is machined from 17-4 stainless steel barstock for a secure, long-lasting fit. Likewise, the company strategically places the engraving on the thickest cross section of the mount for fast and easy replacement. The Obsidian9 can be mounted via pistons (multiple thread pitches available), 3 lug mount, fixed barrel spacer, or fixed mount.
The Obsidian9 is rated for .22 LR all the way up to .300 BLK Subsonic with an 8-inch barrel. This includes .38 Special and .357 Mag with 12-inch barrels. If you already have an Obsidian45, the Obsidian9 is compatible with its accessories. Specifically, pistons, fixed mounts, fixed barrel spacers, and 3-lug mounts are all interchangeable.
