Austin Majors, who acted on “NYPD Blue” as a child, has passed away at the age of just 27 years old.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner lists the “Case Status” for Austin Setmajer as “DEFERRED Pending Additional Investigation,” but TMZ reported that a source indicated that foul play is not suspected but that it is thought the man might have ingested a deadly amount of fentanyl. Kali Raglin, the deceased man’s sister, informed Fox News Digital that officials indicated that the cause of the man’s passing was “suspected fentanyl poisoning with an ongoing investigation.”
“Austin Majors (Setmajer-Raglin) was an artistic, brilliant, and kind human being. Austin took great joy and pride in his acting career. From the time he was little, he never knew a stranger and his goal in life was to make people happy,” the late man’s family noted in a statement, according to the outlet — the statement said that he graduated “from USC’s School of Cinematic Arts with a passion of directing and music producing.”
“Austin’s younger sister, Kali, says her fondest memories with Austin were growing up on set with him, volunteering at events with ‘Kids With a Cause’, and backpacking together. Austin was the kind of son, brother, grandson, and nephew that made us proud and we will miss him deeply forever,” the statement reportedly said.
According to IMDb, in addition to appearing on dozens of episodes of “NYPD Blue,” he had appeared in one episode each of shows including “NCIS,” “How I Met Your Mother,” “ER,” “Desperate Housewives,” and “According to Jim.”
