City website survey

A brand-new Cupertino website is in the works, and the city is looking for feedback from users of its municipal website. Take the survey at cupertino.org/websitesurvey to let staff know how the site could be made more user friendly.

Via Student Contest

The City of Cupertino’s Transportation Division is looking for creative middle and high school students to help rename the community shuttle and redesign the artwork displayed on the vehicles.

Via-Cupertino is an on-demand community shuttle that serves all of Cupertino and connects to Sunnyvale’s Caltrain station. Via-Cupertino will be expanding into Santa Clara and transitioning to an all-electric fleet in the spring. The service’s new name and vehicle artwork should reflect both communities, while maintaining relevance should the program expand into other nearby communities.

The name and design should convey the following themes: community, ease of use, transit and mobility, and public. It should let people know that the shuttles will serve the general public.

Submission deadline is Sunday, Feb. 26. The winner will be announced in early March. For more information and to download the application, visit the “Via Student Contest” section at cupertino.org/shuttle. Send any questions to Chris Corrao at chrisc@cupertino.org.
