Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is a restored 1964 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray “fuelie” convertible.
The listing states this Corvette Stingray received a nut-and-bolt restoration and was repainted Riverside Red. Chrome bumpers, brightwork, a black retractable soft top, and pop-up headlamps complement the Corvette’s Riverside Red exterior.
It rides on steel 15-inch wheels with full hubcaps and Firestone whitewall tires.
“The two-seat cockpit is fitted with black leather low-back bucket seats split by a center console,” the listing states. “Amenities include a wood-rimmed steering wheel, tinted glass, a vertical AM/FM radio, aluminum door sill plates, a clock, bowtie-branded rubber floor mats, and a spare tire.”
This Corvette is powered by a numbers-matching fuel-injected 327ci V8 engine with a factory-rated 375 horsepower when new. It has the original fuel injection unit and a performance air filter. The engine is paired with a four-speed manual transmission.
The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 1,804 miles, but the selling dealer has listed the car with 70,000 miles. The actual mileage on the chassis is unknown.
The sale includes a clear non-transferable Pennsylvania title.
