Featured on AutoHunter, the online auction platform driven by ClassicCars.com, is an Eleanor-style 1968 Ford Mustang fastback.
“As part of the restoration completed three years ago, the body was stripped to bare metal, equipped with new quarter panels, and repainted in two-stage metallic dark gray with painted silver rally stripes and GT500 rocker panel stripes,” the listing states. “Features include fog lights, molded side scoops, Shelby taillights, a Shelby/Eleanor body kit with side-exit exhaust outlets, and a hidden trunk release.”
This Mustang fastbackrides on 17-inch Shelby-style aluminum wheels with 235/40 front and 245/40 rear tires.
The restored interior has black vinyl front bucket seats and brushed stainless steel accents throughout on the dash, center console, and door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, and a Philco AM radio. The five-digit analog odometer reads 90,334 miles and the selling dealer states the mileage is accurate with 500 miles added since the completion of the restoration.
Under the hood is a 302ci V8 engine mated to a C4 three-speed automatic transmission. The seller states that the engine and transmission were rebuilt.
This Eleanor-style Ford Mustang fastback rides on a lowered suspension and the undercarriage was stripped to bare metal and refinished. It has power steering and power front disc brakes.
