Two people died after being struck by a vehicle early Sunday morning while walking in the roadway of Highway 101 in San Jose, authorities said.
The man and woman were in the southbound lanes of Highway 101 near Interstate 880 when they were hit and killed around 4 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. It is unclear why the pair was in the roadway.
No other information about the collision was immediately available.
